Advancing research on airway inflammation and mucus hypersecretion


The Rubin Lab at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University is headed by Bruce K. Rubin , M.Engr., M.D., M.B.A., FRCPC, Jessie Ball duPont Distinguished Professor and chairman of the Department of Pediatrics .

We conduct bench, animal and clinical research focusing on aerosol therapy and airway clearance for lung disease. Our research is driven by skilled teamwork, collaboration and international partnership to understand airway and nasal physiology through basic, translational and clinical research.

The research laboratory consists of 2,071 square feet in Sanger Hall and the Hermes A. Kontos Medical Sciences Building at VCU.
